Payment Terms – Retail Sales
Orders must be paid for at the time order is placed. CAROBU accepts cash, cashiers’ check, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express for payment. Personal checks must be approved by CAROBU management prior to sale. All retail sales of parts are prepaid.  Wholesale or other payment terms are subject to prior credit approval by CAROBU. Past due invoices are subject to interest. In the event an account is placed in collections, the customer is responsible and agrees to pay for all costs of collection including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees. If special pricing or discounts have been negotiated at the time of purchase and an invoice for such special priced/discounted items becomes past due, then the special pricing discounts are automatically reversed to CAROBU standard list prices as shown the CAROBU Price list in effect at the time of sale. 

Payment Terms - Engine Building and Service Work
At the time cars, engines and other parts brought to CAROBU for rebuild, service or other modification a written estimate will be prepared. A deposit in the amount of 50% of the estimate price is required. In some cases, it may be necessary to perform a tear down inspection prior to preparing an estimate. The cost for the teardown and reassembly, if requested, is the customer’s sole responsibility. Invoices will be prepared at various times during the project. All invoices are due and payable upon receipt. Customer deposits are used by CAROBU to purchase parts and are nonrefundable. All invoices must be paid in full before CAROBU will release subject property.

Storage
Cars, engines or other parts not picked up within 14 days of notice by CAROBU will be subject to storage costs.

Installation
Installation is available by our expert technicians. Prices are available upon request.

Shipping & Handling
CAROBU normally ships via UPS. Other standard carriers may be requested and maybe subject to additional fees. Orders are shipped prepaid (no CODs), F.O.B. CAROBU Engineering LLC. Drop-shipped items will be shipped FOB vendor location. Shipping, handling and insurance are the customer’s sole responsibility. CAROBU will insure all shipments for maximum the CAROBU invoice amount. Higher insurance values can be provided at customer’s request. All insurance expenses are billed to the customer. Claims of shortages and defects must be made to CAROBU within 24 hours of receipt of the merchandise. Damaged shipment claims must be made directly to the shipping carrier and are not the responsibility of CAROBU.

Sales Tax
California state and Orange County sales tax be charged to California residents and businesses unless a California Resale Certificate is on file. Items shipped to locations within California are subject to California state sales tax. A California resale certificate must be on file with CAROBU prior to shipping items otherwise sales tax will be charged and will not be refunded. 

Core Fees
Core fees may apply to some items, will be charged, and are refundable upon core return.

Returns
Returns of stock items are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee and must be shipped prepaid. NO RETURNS ON SPECIAL ORDER PARTS. Only new unused items will be considered for return. All returns must have prior authorization by CAROBU. No returns after 30 days of purchase.
